It is the place where Freud lived with his wife, Martha Bernays, his daughters Mathilde and Anna , his sons Martin , Oliver and Ernst and also his sister in law, Minna Bernays.

Today it is the central Freud Museum. Displaying a permanent exposition of the rooms where Sigmund Freud lived and worked and which are fully decorated with pictures regarding the life and works of Sigmund Freud.
Besides the permanent exposition there are temporary expositions and lectures held. It is also home of the most comprehensive library on Freud and psychoanalysis.
